Welcome to our Islamorada Flats and Backcountry fishing page.
Hello, We are Captain Joseph " Kiwi " Hughes and Captain Paul Hunt. We are conveniently located at the Holiday Isle Marina at Post Card Inn, 84001 Overseas Highway Islamorada, Florida. Islamorada is the "Sport Fishing Capitol of the World". Combined we have well over 40 years of experience fishing and guiding on the waters surrounding the Florida Keys. We are licensed and insured full time fishing guides, this is our passion and profession. Our desire is to provide you with the most professional and enjoyable fishing experience you can have while visiting Islamorada and the Florida Keys.
When choosing a fishing guide, it is important to find a guide who's boat, equipment and experience is appropriate and also suited to the type of fishing that you desire. It is not possible to accommodate everyones needs with one type of boat. Our advice to you is please, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You deserve to get the best for what you pay for. Our current fleet of four boats consists of two shallow water skiffs, a 16ft Hell's Bay Whipray, a 17ft Maverick Mirage HPX and two bay boats (one 20ft Actioncraft Coastal Bay and one 22ft Angler Grande Bay). For the avid angler or fly fisherman, our shallow water poling skiffs can accommodate 1 or 2 anglers and are outfitted for fly fishing or light spin fishing with quality tackle and custom hand tied flies suited for the species we fish for here in the Florida Keys. The bay boats can accommodate 4 adults or a family of 4, and are outfitted with quality light spinning tackle and provide a dry comfortable ride to and from the fishing grounds. We will work hard to ensure that your Islamorada Backcountry Charter is a successful and enjoyable experience.Whether it's a fly or a light spin fishing trip on of our shallow water skiffs, or a day on the water with the family or a group of friends in one of our safe, roomy and comfortable bay boats. From the absolute novice to the experienced angler we have the boats, equipment, knowledge and patience to make sure you have a great day on the water.
Why not fish with two guides who still truly love what they do!
